Accountant

An intermediate level role that lead in the accounting teams’ responsibilities that includes keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. The role will use the organization’s ERP system to process business transactions.

Responsibilities:

Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording of accounting data.

  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies

  • Create and update expense reports

  • Process reimbursement forms

  • Prepare bank deposits

  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases

  • Check spreadsheets for accuracy

  • Maintain digital and physical financial records

  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed

  • Review and file payroll documents 

Lead in the preparation, examination, or analysis of accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements

  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner

  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel

  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

Perform of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.

Perform the tasks needed and is willing to go on overtime when necessary.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Management, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required.

  • With at least 2 to 5 years working experience on finance, accounting, audit and/or related field.

  • CPA, CMA and other related certifications is a major plus, but not required.

  • Accounting Concepts and Principles —  Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems: Oracle - NetSuite, Odoo, SAP, Intuit, JD Edwards.

  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
