An intermediate role that is responsible for performing cost analyses and preparing budget variance reports. Should possess excellent analytical skills along with the ability to combine different data and calculate profit margins. Should also be able to create detailed reports that present cost-effective solutions for the organization.
Planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
Analyzing data collected and recording results.
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Assisting in month-end close of the general ledger.
Perform the tasks needed and is willing to go on overtime when necessary.
Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Management, or related field is required.
With at least 2 to 5 years working experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.
CPA, CMA and other related certifications is a requirement.

Accounting Concepts and Principles — Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of financial data. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems: Oracle - NetSuite, Odoo, SAP, Intuit, JD Edwards.
Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
